Will Kenworthy Bio

Will Kenworthy started Slate Run Media in 2009 with the intention of helping independent musicians get their music heard.  Will is also the founder of Tiber Creek Design.  Tiber Creek has been providing web design and internet advising services to small and medium sized businesses since 2001.  Will designed his first website for Governmental Strategies Incorporated in 1996.

Most of Will's background is in public affairs and policy.  After graduating from Georgetown University, Will worked for the House Energy & Commerce Committee as a Legislative Assistant, where he helped shepherd the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 through the Committee and the House of Representatives.  He left the Congress to go the Yale School of Organization and Management where he received Masters Degree in Public and Private Management (like an MBA but cooler).

Following graduate school, Will lobbied for trade associations representing utilities that own and operate nuclear power plants.  After several years in trade association life, Will left to join Timothy Smith at Governmental Strategies Incorporated (GSI) -- a start-up (at the time) energy and environmental policy consulting firm. 

Many of the same skills and communications strategies that have helped Will to be successful in government affairs translate directly to the music industry.  By bringing fresh perspectives, an abiding passion for all types of music and a fetish for techology, Will Kenworthy and Slate Run Media are well positioned to make clients successful.
